Jonathan Elias has spent his career defining how the modern world sounds.
An Emmy Award–winning composer and co-founder of Elias Arts, Jonathan helped pioneer audio branding long before the term entered the cultural lexicon. From MTV’s explosive “Moon Landing” theme to the Columbia Pictures logo, the Liberty Mutual logo, the Farmers Insurance logo, and the instantly recognizable Yahoo! yodel, his work reshaped the emotional vocabulary of global brands. Under his creative leadership, his company earned more than 700 major industry honors, including Clios, Cannes Lions, and an Emmy for Nike’s landmark “Move” campaign that Jonathan composed.
In recent years, Elias brought that same creative rigor and orchestral ambition to the successful collaboration with Universal, known as Elias Audio Branding, which is now a division of UMPG, by reinforcing a philosophy that has defined his career: music is not decoration — it is identity.
Now, he enters a new chapter with JEM Sonic Branding, expanding his vision at a time when brands demand deeper storytelling across streaming, sports, and immersive media. At the same time, he is spearheading sports branding initiative, developing large-scale thematic work and adaptive music systems built for a multi-platform world.
